Well, there’s not gonna be any topping “Britney Spears fronting Spacemen 3.” But with love to the Suicide-bubblegum paean to “Japanese Jesus” “Omanko,” what Sky Ferreira reminds me of on her only album is Debbie Harry. After all, Blondie was what happened the very first time punk crashed headfirst into pop. Even though Ferreira hails from L.A. and has the modeling pedigree to prove it, there’s something about the…engagement with consequence, let’s say, that gives Night Time, My Time a New York feel, a spiky leather jacket wrapped around an otherwise Belinda Carlisle-ready slice of heaven like “24 Hours.”
